Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin Luke 1:67-79 Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, demonstrates a great and comprehensive knowledge of the Old Testament Scriptures. Jesus is not the founder of a new religion, Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament. Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s promised to David that one of his sons would be the king of an eternal kingdom. Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham to bless all the families of the world through his Seed. Zacharias says the covenants of the Old Testament are about Jesus and fulfilled in and through Jesus.
