Sermon by: Stephen Downes Colossians 1:3-8 Everything hinges on the Word of God. Without the truth of God’s Word there is no faith, no love, no hope, no change. The significance of the Word of God can not be over stated. Today we will see 3 reasons to cling to the truth of God’s Word. Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 3:18-4:5 You cannot reconcile the thinking of the world with the teachings of God. They are incompatible. They are antithetical. The Bible says the first step toward wisdom is to realize God is the source of all wisdom. That’s why it is so important to be in the Word everyday, so we are not deceived by the thinking of the world, and can gain the wisdom of God by which to live our lives. Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin Luke 1:30-38 When Gabriel announced to Mary she was to be the mother of the Son of God, Mary had mixed emotions. She felt agony and ecstasy. She felt privileged and perplexed. She didn't understand all of God's plan, but her response was, “I am God’s servant.” She had this awesome sense of God’s purpose in her life and she surrendered herself to that purpose. As a mother, God has given you a great calling, mission, and purpose. Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 3:5-17 Every architect knows a great building must have a great foundation. A building is only as strong as its foundation. Paul says Christ is our foundation. The question is not what do I want, the question is what does God want? What God is doing in your life and in His church transcends the temporal. He is building for eternity. |
