Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 7:10-24 The Corinthians were asking the apostle Paul if the call to salvation alters our marriage, cultural, economic, or social status. Paul answers by saying our calling is not a matter of our outward circumstances, but our faithfulness to God. We are to use our current social status and situation as an opportunity to live for Christ.

Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 7:7-9; 25-40 We are tempted to either elevate marriage above being single or to elevate being single above being married, but Paul says our ultimate goal and pursuit is to do the will of God. Whether we are married or single, our ultimate focus is not to be earthly circumstances which are passing away, but heavenly priorities which are eternal. Sermon by: Stephen Downes Deuteronomy 8:2-5 When your circumstances are difficult, when the burdens and the hardships of the world bring you pain, do you see your circumstance, pain, and hardship as God’s grace in your life? The reality is that your difficult circumstance is God’s grace in your life. Today we will see 3 Things God is doing in difficult circumstances so that you can know His grace. Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin Matthew 5:38-42 Jesus taught we are not to have a retaliatory spirit where we demand justice in every situation. When we are wronged, we are to respond with grace rather than vengeance. That is exactly how God deals with us. We have rebelled against and wronged God, and instead of God giving us justice, through Jesus He gives us grace. Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin Matthew 5:43-48 We now come to perhaps the greatest moral challenge that Jesus ever gave us as believers, “Love your enemies.” Jesus is saying who our enemy is does not determine our love, who God is and who we are determines our love. When we love our enemies we love the way God loves. |
