Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 6:1-11 Every family has conflict, so the issue is how do we deal with and resolve conflict within the church? As Christians, Paul says we are always to keep in mind that our gospel witness is more important than winning a conflict and how we respond is more important than the outcome.

Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 5:1-13 This passage is about God’s standards for those of us who are a part of the church. Everyone, even pagans, have standards. We have standards for driving, we don’t let people drive drunk. We have standards for teaching, we don’t let sex offenders teach grade school. Paul says God has given the church standards as well, and the goal of the church is always redemptive. Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 4:14-21 We want power and control, yet Jesus did the strangest of things. He laid His power aside for the sake of others. He laid His power aside and went to cross to die for our sins. Paul is saying it is that kind of view of power we are to have. We are to use our power or leadership not for self, but for the good of others. Sermon By: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 4:6-13 One of the big ideas of 1 Corinthians is biblical wisdom produces godly love and moral living. A biblical worldview causes us to love others the way God loves us and to live a life that honors God. The Corinthians were trying to honor themselves because they did not have a God-centered worldview, they had a man-centered worldview. Paul writes them to give them a biblical view of God, self, and others, which produces a greater love for God and passion for His glory. |
