Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin Matthew 5:13-16 Salt is absolutely indispensable to life. Jesus says our lives are to point people to Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life. Light is absolutely indispensable to life. Let the sun stop shining and soon even the heart of the ocean would be frozen solid. Without Jesus, this world would be a cold and dead place. Our job as salt and light is to point people to Jesus who alone can bring abundant and spiritual life.

Sermon by: Stephen Downes Colossians 2:9-14 Have you ever thought you needed something more? Something more to overcome sin, to get right with God, to have joy in life, meaning in life, experience peace? To be free from fear, doubt, and worry? Understand that You have all you need in Jesus because he is enough. Today, we will look at for reasons why Jesus is enough for you. Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 Why are men and women different? Paul says because God created us equal, but He designed us to be different and gave us distinct roles. We are equal and different, and those differences and distinctions are meant to honor God and they are meant to strengthen us. We worship God in our sameness, but we also worship God in our differences. Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin Matthew 5:6 Have you ever been hungry or thirsty? Hunger and thirst are all consuming desires that supplant all other desires. Jesus said in the same way we are to hunger and thirst for God and for righteousness. But Jesus also says we are not the ones who produce righteousness in our life. Righteousness is a work of God. He alone can supply it and produce it within us. |
