Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 15:35-58 God is holy and we are not. God is immortal and we are mortal. Our bodies are corrupted by sin and cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven. God’s plan is for our mortal bodies to be transformed into sinless and glorified bodies. We can’t change who or what we are, but in the resurrection God is going to change who and what we are, and it will be glorious. Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin Matthew 21:1-11 We love the idea of a king and his kingdom. Almost all great kid’s movies are about a King or Prince coming to the salvation of someone in need of rescue. Something in our heart about a benevolent ruler who sacrifices Himself for the good of others. In this passage, we have the beautiful image of Jesus as the King of universe and the Prince of Peace riding into Jerusalem to save it and to save us from our sins. Sermon by: Pastor Matt Spradlin 1 Corinthians 16:5-12 We have learned over the last few years, we are not in control. We are not in control of other people, our circumstances, or even our future, but we can thank God He is in control. God wants to rule and reign over every area of our life, including our time. Our attitude ought to be “How can I honor God with my day today? Lord, what are Your plans for my weak or my year?” We should make plans, Bible encourages it, but we should always give God ultimate control over our plans. |
