Summer in Children's Ministry

​We have some new things happening and new volunteers in the children ministry with some exciting events for the summer time! We have added about 9 more volunteers within different capacities. We have also added an emphasis on prayer and worship in addition to our study and memorization of God's word. Relying on the power of the Holy Spirit, the same power who
raised Jesus from the dead, to work through our leaders, our kids, and their families is essential in furthering the kingdom of God. There are three things we are in the process of adding to our Shoreline Kids ministry; Prayer Partners, prayer time, and worship time.

Prayer Partners- I am so excited to say that we currently have 11 of our 15 regular attending Sunday kids being prayed for a few times a week! Many of our agebusters have agreed to take a child and pray diligently for him or her and the family. My prayer is that we would have a prayer partner for all of our Sunday and Wednesday kids by the end of May. You do not have to be an Agebuster to be a prayer partner; you just have to be willing to pray for a child a few times a week. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in. It would be amazing for each kid to have multiple people in prayer for him or her and the family.

Early Bird Prayer Time- In the next month we are also going to be adding an early bird prayer time for the kids starting at 8:30 am in room B105 (our children's room). It will be 20 minutes where any kid who is interested can spend time in prayer about things going on in his or her
life. The prayer facilitator will also help teach the kids about other things to pray for as well to deepen their prayer life.

Sunday Worship Time- We have added a time of worshiping God through music in our Sunday morning kids' worship service. Not only can we praise God through music, but we can memorize scripture and truths about God as well. Some mornings we sing to God through CD's and other times we are blessed to be led with live music from members of our own
worship team.

Upcoming Summer Children's Events: 
June 6th- Drive In Movie Night in B-108 | 6:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. (kids can come at 5:30 if they would like to decorate a cardboard car before the event)
July 11th- Game Night in the Gym | 6:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.
July 16th-20th- VBS (Register here) | 8:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
August 8th- LEGO Night in B-105 | 6:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.

It has already been so exciting to see the Lord work in Children's Ministry in so many ways. I can't wait to see what He has in store for the rest of this year and years to come.
