Have you ever wanted to be a missionary? Now you can by helping pack shoeboxes filled with things like toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and hard candy. Help hurting children in over 150 countries around the world through Operation Christmas child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse. Since its 1993 inception, Operation Christmas Child, a project of the international relief organization, Samaritan's Purse, has sent gift-filled shoeboxes and a message of hope to more than 150 million children in over 100 war-torn and impoverished countries. For many of these children, it is the first gift they have ever received. The 2018 Operation Christmas Child National Collection Week is November 12 to 19. Shoreline Baptist Church is a designated drop-off location in this area. Anyone can participate! From children to seniors, people pack gifts to bless children around the world. Simply fill an empty shoebox with school supplies, hygiene items, and fun toys for a boy or girl. For detailed packing instructions, volunteer opportunities and more information about Operation Christmas Child, call John Mercer 714/881-6788 or visit samaritanspurse.org/occ.
