Melly Toscano
Shoreline Preschool Director
Meet Melly
With over 30+ years of experience in early childhood education, I have had the joy and privilege of dedicating my life to nurturing and educating young minds. I’ve had the honor of serving as the Preschool Director here at Shoreline Preschool and Infant Toddler Center, where I continue to live out my greatest passion for creating a loving, Christ-centered environment where every child feels seen, safe, valued, and deeply loved by Jesus. I believe these early years are a sacred time to nurture a child's mind, heart, and spirit. Every child is a story God is writing: beautiful, unique, and full of purpose. At Shoreline Preschool, I am honored to be a small part of each child's journey as they grow in faith, love, and learning.
I hold an Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Development from Santa Ana College and a Director Certification from Saddleback College—certificates in: Infant and Toddler Teacher, Preschool Teacher, and Early Childhood Administration. I’m continuing my lifelong commitment to learning and leadership in education.
My journey began in the classroom, where I spent decades building meaningful connections with children and their families. Those years instilled in me a deep understanding of what it means to guide with patience, lead with heart, and teach purposefully.
Outside of school, I am blessed to share life with my best friend and husband of 28 years, Mario. Together, we’ve raised two incredible sons who are pursuing careers in the medical field as Science majors, our pride and joy, and the heart of our family. God also blessed us with our beautiful girl Mia, our loyal German Shepherd, whom we adopted during the pandemic and has been a beloved member of our family ever since.
At Shoreline Preschool, I strive to lead with compassion, faith, and integrity, believing wholeheartedly in the power of early education to shape confident, kind, and curious learners.
"We are not just teaching ABCs, we're shaping hearts for eternity!"-Mrs. Melly
