The purpose of the adult bootcamp is to improve overall fitness and support a healthy lifestyle.
Every class session we will perform strength training exercises that will work your legs, abdominals, lower back, upper back, chest, shoulders, and arms. To train all of these muscle groups we will be using bodyweight exercises, lightweight resistance bands, and stability balls. Low intensity jumping exercises will be used to elevate your heart rate and increase your lower body strength and power. Various sprinting and running drills will be incorporated into each session to help keep your heart rate up to burn fat, and to keep your heart healthy and strong.
Structure and Intensity
Each class session will consist of a five minute warm up to elevate the heart rate and warm the muscles up to prepare for the days exercises. Following the warm up will be several series of circuits including various exercises. A circuit will consist of 3-4 exercises that will be performed back to back with no rest. Once the circuit has been completed there will be a brief rest period before repeating the circuit.
This style of interval training is used to keep your heart rate up in order to maximize fat loss, and will take about 30-35 minutes of our session. Every session will end with a five minute cool down to slowly lower the heart rate, than end with 15 minutes of flexibility training.
